Sarvar-e-Shah Masjid

The village Sarod, District Bharuch, Gujarat, India Pin Code 392180 was originally known as 'SAHIL-E-ROOD" (A Persian word) meaning the bank of a river. It was established by Mahmud Begda R.A. a sultan of Pathan Dynasty in the 15th Century A.D.
This beautiful village is situated at the junction where river Mahi Sagar falls into the Bay of Cambay, Arabian Sea and hence it was rightly named as SAHIL (edge/bank) of a river. A Saint of Mahmud Begda R.A.'s army Hazrat Nasiruddin's Dargah and Masjid is located on this site. After leaving Begda's army as a soldier Hazrat Nasiruddin devoted himself to fulltime Tableegh.
Regeneration and reconstruction of this historical Daragah and Masjid has been completed. This monument is in memory of Hazrat Nasiruddin was built by the Sultan of Gujarat. The surrounding land approximately 16 acres was left for the use of the people for various religious and cultural purposes.
